Tacoma Panthers Football
The Tacoma Panthers JR Football and Sports Associations’ vision is to provide young boys and girls an environment to grow, mature, and become productive members of their community. We serve as a resource for parents, educators, and all who seek to enrich the lives of children. Each football season, the organization has over 150 football players and over 40 cheerleaders. Five teams are represented, between 4th and 8th grades, and are comprised of Tacoma, University Place, and Joint Base Lewis/McChord communities. In addition, our Association has expanded to include Basketball and Girls Fast Pitch sports.
Mission Statement of the Tacoma Panthers Youth Football and Sports Association
The Tacoma Panther Youth Football and Sports Association (TPYFSA) is a non-profit organization that provides competitive flag football, tackle football, cheerleading, basketball and fast pitch to children ages 9 to 14. As a non-profit run organization, TPYFSA strives to provide a fun, and memorable experience for children and parents.
The mission of TPYFSA is to enable young children to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a SAFE, CALM and structured environment. These programs teach fundamental values, develop leadership skills, and educate teamwork, patience, determination, self-respect and respect for others.
Academics are the most important component of TPYFSA. Our Presidents and Vice President’s goal is to ensure that each child has an opportunity to go to the next level and to be successful.
In order to continue to be a member of TPYFSA, each child must maintain a “C” average in order to participate. The coaches through progress reports will monitor these averages. Tutoring is offered to assist students who need additional support by our education support coordinators.
We moreover expect dedication of all coaches, players and parents to aid in the enrichment of life skills through the benefit of organized athletics. To promote, advance, and sponsor football among the school systems in the community. We strive to be a solitary link to improve academic success and quality citizenship through association and continued participation in organized Sports.

Preparing our youths of today, for life circumstances of tomorrow, through sports and mentorship.
Teaching kids fundamentals in Football, Baseball, Basketball and Cheerleading, giving them a safe place to
play, learn and build respect for themselves and each other.
